Privacy policy

Effective 28 September 2026

This policy covers the Learning Holy Quran Android app (package net.learningquran.apps) and the website learningquran.net, both published by TZ-12. In short: the app collects nothing about you, and the website only keeps what you choose to send us through the contact form.

The app

What we collect

Nothing. The app has no accounts, no ads, no analytics, no payments and no tracking. We do not collect, store or share any personal data from the app.

What stays on your phone

Your bookmarks, reading position and any audio you download are saved only on your device. We cannot see them. Uninstalling the app removes them.

Audio downloads

When you play or download a recitation, your phone requests the audio file over the internet. The server that delivers the file may record standard technical details, such as your IP address and the time of the request, as any web server does. We do not use these details to identify you, and we do not combine them with any other information.

The website

Browsing

The website uses no cookies, no analytics and no advertising. Our web host keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and to keep the site running. Text on the site uses Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google to load them, and Google receives your IP address as part of that request.

Contact form

If you send us a message, we receive the name, email address and message you enter. We use them only to reply to you.

• Your message is stored in a Google Sheet in our Google account and sent to our email inbox, learningquran.net@gmail.com. Google processes this data on our behalf.
• We keep messages for up to 12 months, then delete them. You can ask us to delete yours sooner.
• We never sell your details, add you to a mailing list or share them with anyone else.
• To limit spam, your browser stores the time you last sent a message. This stays on your device and is not sent to us.

Children

The app is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the website. If you believe a child has sent us their details, email us and we will delete them.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing us. We will respond within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update it on this page and change the effective date above.
